Water Lead Analyst
Job Description
The Water Lead Analyst is a highly technical role within the Water Strategy team. The candidate will be responsible for analysis, automation and building business applications, workflows and solutions which will assist the Water Strategy team with making data driven, evidence based business and operational decisions. They will also be responsible for helping to develop more efficient regulatory reporting such as NI Water’s price control (business plans) and Annual Information Returns (AIR) to be founded on robust evidence derived from asset information.
The outline aims of the post are;
a) Utilisation of the NIW of the Corporate Asset Register (CAR) platform.
b) Developing business analytics and insights to support Water Strategy and the wider business using various analytical software platforms including Safe FME, Esri ArcGIS, Oracle Spatial PL/SQL, Ellipse Enterprise Asset Management and MS 365 (including Power BI).
c) Building workflow automation and solutions to gain efficiencies.
d) Asset data improvement and applying ISO55001 methodologies to enhance asset management practices.
Influencing and assisting business colleagues and stakeholders to move towards our goal of an enterprise wide connected data environment (CDE).

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. A 3rd level qualification (e.g. a degree or HND or equivalent) in an Engineering, Scientific, Information Systems or Geographic discipline and have 3 years experience working with corporate databases/systems (e.g. Oracle Spatial, SQL Server Spatial or similar) in a database design capacity.
OR
Have 5 years practical experience working with corporate databases/systems (e.g. Oracle Spatial, SQL Server Spatial or similar) in a database design capacity.
NOTE: Database design can include data engineering, building database objects (e.g. tables, forms, reports, triggers, procedures, validation etc.), testing or reconfiguration of existing databases. You do not require a formal software programming qualification for this post.
2. Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering outcomes associated with digital transformation and innovative technical solutions.
3. Demonstrate practical experience and knowledge of asset data relationships, structures and hierarchies. Can include experience of Asset Management Systems such as Ellipse, Maximo etc.
4. At least 2 years practical experience and knowledge of FME Form and FME Flow applications.
5. At least 2 years practical experience and knowledge of both Esri ArcGIS desktop and web software (such as ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise (Portal) and ArcGIS Online (AGOL), Survey123, Web App Builder etc.)
6. Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Power BI and Power Point.
7. Demonstrate highly effective communication skills having previous experience of reporting and communicating with senior staff, various stakeholders (both internal and external) and supply chain about project objectives and details.
8. Hold a full, current driving license or have access to a form of transport to enable you to fulfil your responsibilities.
Salary
This Band 4 role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £42,356 - £55,808 per annum (pay award pending).
The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
