Supplies and Logistic Officer

Supplies and Logistic Officer urgently required to work with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service based, Boucher Road, Belfast.

The rate of pay for this role is £15.48, working Monday to Friday 9am until 4.30. Initially the role will be for 5 months on a temporary basis with the possibility of an extension based on job performance. Applicants must have or be willing to undergo training to obtain both Counterbalance and Reach Forklift licences.

The main purpose of this role is to help deliver effective services in the procurement, provision, management and safekeeping of all vehicles, PPE and consumables, operational equipment and uniforms for the Fire and Rescue Service.

Duties will include monitoring stock levels and recording using electronic stock management systems, liaising with supplies and stakeholders, review redundant stock for disposal, organise the procurement of products for stock, plan for collection and deliveries of goods and operate forklifts. The successful candidate will be required to participate in the Regional Duty Standby Rota.

What We Need From You

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent plus 3 years minimum experience within a demanding multi-commodity stores environment
• Experience using an electronic stores management system
• Must have Counterbalance and Reach Forklift licence or willing to undertake training
