Hays are partnering with a charitable organisation to recruit a Schools Support Officer on a permanent basis to assist in the delivery of their campaign.
Your New Role
- Support the design, implementation and ongoing review of the campaign strategy, including the production of strategic and operational plans to engage with schools to ensure successful implementation of the strategy
- Manage relevant supporting projects as required, including organising educational events, research projects and coordination of the campaign bank of facilitators
- Engage effectively with schools, as well as parents and communities, including awareness-raising activities, together with monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of this work
- Act as a point of contact for the campaign and represent, or co-ordinate representation of, the organisation at conferences and educational events, including through delivering presentations to school staff, Boards of Governors, educational bodies and parents or other groups as required
- Develop and maintain good working relations with educational bodies, supporters and key educational stakeholders, including elected representatives as appropriate
- Assist the campaign Manager to manage the agreed budget, including supporting the production of relevant financial and written reports for donors and other external bodies
- Work closely with the campaign Manager to develop and produce relevant and brand compliant educational and marketing materials for a range of audiences and social media platforms
- Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this post
What you'll need to succeed
- At least three years’ experience of working within the field of either formal or informal education, working full-time (or part-time equivalent)
- Recent experience of organising at least two events for 20+ people, e.g. focus groups, meetings, conferences, seminars, annual general meetings, consultation events
- At least three years’ experience of carrying out effective written & oral communication with a range of educational stakeholders, including writing reports and interpreting & presenting data
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to empathise with people's life experiences
- GCSE English and Maths
- Two A Levels
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to private transport for work purposes
What you’ll get in return
- Salary of £29,269 to £31,364
- Full-time or part-time working pattern available (35 hours to 21 hours per week)
- Permanent position
- Located in Belfast
- 20 days annual leave plus 15 days customary holiday per annum
