Van Sales Representative

Van Sales Driver (Derry/Londonderry)

My client is a family-owned manufacturing company based in Derry/Londonderry, who are currently seeking a Van Sales Driver to join their well-structured sales team.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position.

Salary negotiable (dependent on experience).

Job Purpose:

Working alongside the sales team, you will be responsible for providing sales to current customers as well as upselling and developing new sales calls.

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales.
• Previous experience in the use of handheld sales devices.
• Minimum full clean B driving licence.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload while adhering to deadlines in order maximise sales.
• Strong influencing skills in order to achieve target sales.
• Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proven track record working as a van sales representative.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and customer call rates consistent with the run schedule.
• Present, promote and sell current range of products and introduce new lines to customers on an ongoing basis.
• Ensure product range correctly merchandised with proper stock rotation on the shelf.
• Expedite the resolution of customers problems and complaints to maximise satisfaction.
• Maintain full stock control of vehicle & depot.
• Report customer’s needs, competitor’s activities and potential new products to the Sales Manager.
• Ability to optimise the strategic placement in store.
