Hays Accountancy & Finance are seeking a Financial Manager to join our client on a 6-month contract, working within a well-known and respected charity in Belfast dedicated to making a positive impact in the community.
Your new role
- Managing the day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Leading and developing a small finance team.
- Providing strategic financial advice to the senior management team.
- Overseeing the preparation of financial statements and audits.
- Managing cash flow and financial risk.
What you'll need to succeed
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the charity or non-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
