Maintenance Engineer - Monday - Friday: Days

MCS Group is proud to be working with one of the top 20 global Pharmaceutical company, to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team.

As a maintenance engineer you will work closely with maintenance management and contribute to the day-to-day decisions and activity critical to the effective running of the manufacturing site.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice to the maintenance team to ensure that plant and equipment is maintained to the highest standards, minimising downtime and maximising up time.
• Install root cause analysis techniques to breakdowns; implement corrective action plans and/or contingency plans and communicate to the site management team.
• Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are current, technically correct, and up to date and reflect current planned maintenance program.
• Ensure that all regulatory and audit requirements associated with the engineering department are met.
• Ensure compliance to Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and policies pertaining to the maintenance department.
• Establish service contracts and service level agreements for systems.
• Manage third party contractors ensuring risk assessments, method statements and all additional information is provided prior to commencement of work on site.

Essential Criteria

• Qualified in an engineering discipline (B-TEC or higher)
• 3+ years post apprenticeship experience or 1 years post graduate experience

Desirable Criteria

• 3RD level qualification in related technical discipline
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualified or working towards
