Spatial Data Analyst
Role Description
The postholder will provide spatial data analytics support within the Wastewater Data Analytics Team and assist with developing solutions and outputs for modelling, asset investment planning and key business projects.
The Wastewater Data Analytics Team provide spatial data analytics, solutions and expertise to the Wastewater Modelling and other wastewater teams in the business, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, to deliver on NI Water’s strategic priorities such as nature and the economy. The team are delivering on key areas of work including developing system integrations; preparing data for release to the public; supporting the preparedness for the PC27 plan by analysing asset needs in the context of asset performance, environmental impact and economic constraint; and providing Geographic Information (GI) support to the Wastewater Regulation Reform Programme. In addition, the team respond to Environmental Information Requests (EIRs) and statutory information requests within tight timeframes, providing information relating to wastewater assets.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. A relevant 3rd Level Qualification (Degree/HND or equivalent) in a Geography, Environmental or Information Systems discipline.
2. Demonstrate proficiency in data literacy, including the ability to explore, interpret and analyse data to produce actionable insights and visualisations.
3. Demonstrate proficiency in data analytics tools, including at least one of the following: Microsoft PowerBI, GIS, FME, Python, SQL.
4. Proven ability to produce comprehensive reports and simplify complex information to present to stakeholders using Microsoft Word and Powerpoint.
5. Demonstrate ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
6. Willingness to work towards professional qualifications such as Chartered Geographer or Chartered Water and Environmental Manager.
7. Hold a full, current driving license or have access to a form of transport to enable you to fulfil your responsibilities.
Salary
This role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £28,441 - £34,762 per annum (pay award pending).
The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
