Senior Cyber Security Consultant

MCS Group is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Consultant to join an organisation at the forefront of the Northern Ireland Cyber Security ecosystem. In this role, you will provide expert advice and guidance to key clients, embedding yourself with them to provide insightful, and ultimately critical insights on how they can improve their cyber security posture across both public and private sector organisations

The role

• You will advise, and ultimately improve a wide variety of clients' cyber security posture, across both public & private sector areas of industry
• Execute cyber security assessments using frameworks like NIST, ISO27001& CAF and enable your clients to gain these accreditation's
• Engage, manage, and nurture client relationships, from the initial scoping to the completion of your work leaving them in a secure, and protected place when it comes to their Cyber Security posture
• Implement Gov Assure assessments across critical systems of government organisations, playing an integral role in ensuring they are protected from cyber attack

Needed to succeed

• A proven background in technology, and the ability to evidence your knowledge across security frameworks
• Knowledge, or hands-on experience in using OSINT tools
• The ability to run multiple client engagements at any one time, and to establish long-lasting, and ultimately effective relationships with your clients
• Multiple years of experience within a role where you have hands-on cyber security responsibilities
• Any proven experience in ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, Cyber informed engineering, cyber assessments framework, NIST, CHECK, or NCSC would be a huge advantage to have
