Customer Pricing Analyst

Our Flex division is a leading manufacturer of innovative flexible packaging solutions.
The role is responsible for producing
selling prices for Customer Services and Sales team and assisting with ad hoc
group tender opportunities. In addition,
the role will involve periodic monitoring of customer performance and
supporting month end analysis where required as well as any potential ad hoc
mini projects that stem from this analysis. You will also be a valuable member
of the internal site Pricing Committee.
The role
•On
receipt of RFQ (Requests For Quote) from sales team, produce accurate details
of production costs to enable sales estimates to be generated and provided to
customers, using our pricing software.
•Review
RFQ that all details present and satisfied that form this can accurately cost
and determine the quantity and costs of all inks, coatings, films and
associated component parts, or seek further details as necessary from requestor
or technical team as required.
•Ensure
estimates take account of all relevant variables including the cost of raw
materials, transport, cost of production and margin level.
•Assist
in the internal margin protection actions set each year.
•Involvement
in pricing committee
•Support
Sales team and Finance/Commercial department where required.
•Assist
in updating system master data where relevant e.g. specific raw material costs,
machine hour rates, transport costs etc.
•Benchmark
reporting and update master files as required on weekly/monthly basis.
•Any
other tasks or duties as requested by Department Manager
Essential Criteria
•Third
level qualification in a relevant discipline•Essential
to have a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Desirable Criteria
•Previous
estimation experience•Previous
experience of working in a manufacturing company
•Previous
experience of ERP systems and costing software
