Programme and Project Manager - Staff Officer

Location - Stormont

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit

Weekly pay - £17.94

9 -5 Monday to Friday (Flexi offered)

Job outline including main duties / Purpose of Job/Function of Role - The postholder’s core role will be to provide support to deliver key elements of the Mental Health Strategy 2021-2031, including:

• Assist on the production of Mental Health Strategy annual delivery plans, including engaging with a wide range of stakeholders through meetings and workshops.
• Engage with action owners to effectively monitor progress against actions and provide reports to senior officers.
• Provide secretariat function and report on progress of the Mental Health Strategy action plan to Mental Health Strategic Reform Board and Cross-Departmental Working Group.
• Provide effective management and delivery of the project and programme budgets. This includes monitoring and production of division - wide returns during the in-year monitoring cycle.
• Support the implementation of the Regional Trauma Network, working closely with key stakeholders, such as the HSC Trusts and the Victims and Survivors Service (VSS).
• Provision of advice to Minister, senior officials, relevant statutory committees and wider stakeholders, via both oral and written correspondence and Assembly Questions, as required.
• Support the ongoing liaison with other Departments, statutory agencies and bodies, the voluntary and independent sector and with the general public in monitoring, evaluating, reviewing and developing the policy areas as required.
• Provide any wider branch support required on an ad-hoc basis.

Essential Experience & Qualifications required -
Degree & Previous experience in a programme/project management role

Desired Experience and Qualifications -

Previous policy experience, ideally in a Government setting.
