MCS Group is currently working with a leading independent manufacturing company that is seeking a talented IT Support Analyst to join its dynamic team. As part of its ambitious plans, the company is committed to creating a seamless, omnichannel experience for its customers by integrating cutting-edge technology both online and offline.
You will be responsible for:
- Provide first and second-level technical support to users via phone, email, or in-person, addressing and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Manage IT service desk requests, ensuring prompt resolution of incidents, and prioritising tasks based on urgency.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, software applications, and peripherals.
- Administer user accounts and manage systems such as Active Directory, Office 365, and other enterprise platforms.
- Conduct system maintenance and updates, ensuring security patches and protocols are up to date.
- Deliver staff training and onboarding for software applications, especially Office 365 (including SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams).
- Escalate complex issues to senior technical teams or 3rd line support when required.
- Assist with network and server infrastructure, including backups, VPNs, firewalls, and connectivity troubleshooting.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Windows-based operating systems (10/11/Server OS/M365)
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365 administration, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).
- Familiarity with Server and Desktop Virtualisation (Hyper-V or VMware)
- Phone system administration
