Due to their continual growth our client Northern Ireland’s largest move diversified independent waste management company has a genuine opportunity an HGV Class 2 Driver.

You shall be working for an innovative waste and recycling management operation, offering a broad range of collection, treatment and diversion, from landfill solutions to many NI authorities.

• Day Shift: £15.17 – WEEKLY TOPLINE BEFORE OVERTIME £682.65 PER WEEK
• Evening Rate: £17.28 – WEEKLY TOPLINE BEFORE OVERTIME £777.60
• HGV Drivers: Category ‘C’
• Permanent / Full Time Hours:
• Various Shifts Patterns (will be discussed at interview)
• Base Location: Belfast.

Job Overview & Daily Duties

• As a Driver you will be required to complete multi drop deliveries and collections throughout NI.
• The Driver will also be required to collect and move commercial containers when required. Roles & Responsibilities
• Excellent customer service skills that support the company brand.
• Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
• Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally)
• Following all regulations relating to driver’s hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Undertake all necessary training, & cooperate with the security clearance process as required
• Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department

Essential Criteria

• Must hold a valid HGV licence - Category ‘C’,
• Must hold a Digital Tachogragh card and Full Driver CPC
• Minimum of 1 years HGV driving experience
• Full UK Driving Licence (Max of 6 penalty points)
• Ability to undertake manual work
• Flexible approach to working hours as weekends and Bank Holidays will be required
• Excellent customer service skills
• Team Player
• Good Communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Good Knowledge of driver’s hours, rules and regulations
• Previous experience of working in the waste industry would be advantageous.
• Any offer of employment will be subject to successful security clearance
• Must be able to provide documentation to confirm your eligibility to work in the UK.
