Category Manager

MCS Group is delighted to be working in partnership with a local company going through an exciting growth period, and are recruiting for a Category Manager.
Role can be from Belfast, Newry, Portadown or Ballymena.

Do you have a strong background in Purchasing/Procurement?

Have experience working in a Manufacturing or Retail/Distribution environment?

This will suit a driven individual to develop and manage key categories and progress in your career!

You will;

• Establish and improve relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company goods and services
• Ability to influence and negotiate to ensure we are getting the best deals for our customers
• Great communication skills - working with our suppliers and sales teams and within all levels of our organisation
• Ability to manage multiple projects at any one time
• Attention to detail with an eye for numbers - analytical and problem solving
• Manage a portfolio of goods and services by sourcing, tendering, negotiating and agreeing contracts via a robust supplier selection process.

Salary circa £45-50K + bonus + benefits!
