Our client, based in Toome, is a vibrant, successful and
growing local business within the engineering/manufacturing sector in Northern
Ireland and the UK. As an
independent, family run business, they have carved out a successful niche as a
supplier of choice. Due to ongoing expansion, a superb opportunity has arisen for
a CAD Technician to join the team.
Reporting to
the Department Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for
producing CAD drawings as required.
KEY DUTIES
·
Produce CAD drawings as required
·
Review
and create bill of materials
·
Secure all CAD models onto the shared server
after these have been checked against BOMs, to ensure compatibility
·
Creating engineering models and drawings for
both production and tender documents
·
Providing technical support
·
Liaising with website developer to ensure all
information is up-to-date and correct
THE PERSON
•
Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths
•
Higher level education in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
discipline
•
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
•
Technically advanced with the ability to manage complexity,
communicate effectively and drive production from sound fabrication drawings
•
Proficient with MS Office suite
•
Experience in the use of 3D design packages, to include
SolidWorks
SALARY
An attractive salary up to £30,000 per annum will be on offer to the
successful candidate.
