Head of Pedagogy and Professional Development

Early Years – the organisation for young children wish to recruit a Head of Pedagogy and Professional Development to work within the Early Years Team. Location to be confirmed, but travel within NI and the border counties will be required.

As part of our team, you’ll work closely with the Director of Services, ASPIRE project manager, and the Strategic Leadership Team to lead in re-evaluating and designing a process to provide evidence-based services with the aim of improving outcomes for young children to be shared nationally and internationally. You will provide leadership in the policy and practice context for Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland in relation to working with young children is reflected in the delivery of the ASPIRE: Preschool programme and the broader Pre-School Education Programme.

The ASPIRE Project is a shared education initiative, funded through PEACEPLUS, and aimed at providing direct and sustained contact between children from all backgrounds. This multi-year, cross border partnership is led by Northern Ireland Education Authority alongside Early Years, the National Childhood Network, Léargas and Fermanagh Trust.

Early Years are leading on the pre-school element, and this is a fantastic opportunity to work on an ambitious project seeking to make a real difference to our society by embedding shared education from the start.
