Founded in 1950, Boxpak Ltd began manufacturing baking cases for the bakery trade. The family-owned business gradually enhanced the product range with printed cartons and in 1960 introduced aluminium foil containers.

We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Controller to join our team.

SALARY:

Fully Negotiable - highly competitive rate of pay for the role which is negotiable based on experience.

OVERVIEW:

The successful candidate will engage with relevant stakeholders with the purpose of developing appropriate procurement strategies to support business needs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Supplier Management: Establish, manage, and control relationships with external suppliers, building strategic partnerships.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal departments.

Material Evaluation: Evaluate the use and integration of new and existing materials.

Supplier Research: Identify the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules, and quality, while adhering to budget constraints.

Inventory and Material Control: Monitor our stock procedures and material controls to reduce spending, waste, and inventory levels.

Supplier Database Management: manage and develop our comprehensive supplier database for ongoing management and performance evaluation.

Supplier Negotiations: Regularly negotiate and agree supplier terms, monitor contract progress, and ensure high quality of service.

Compliance and Policy Adherence: Manage our PEFC & FSC audit. Complete EPR and EUDR reporting. Processing supplementary declarations via the Trader Support Service. Ensure compliance with the company’s BRCG and ISO 9001 Quality Management standards.

Essential Criteria:

3+ years of experience in a supply chain or materials planning role.

Strong business, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and IT systems

Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a high level of initiative.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to address issues across various departments.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Desirable criteria:

EFI/ Radius experience
