We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Controller to join our team.
SALARY:
Fully Negotiable - highly competitive rate of pay for the role which is negotiable based on experience.
OVERVIEW:
The successful candidate will engage with relevant stakeholders with the purpose of developing appropriate procurement strategies to support business needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supplier Management: Establish, manage, and control relationships with external suppliers, building strategic partnerships.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal departments.
• Material Evaluation: Evaluate the use and integration of new and existing materials.
• Supplier Research: Identify the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules, and quality, while adhering to budget constraints.
• Inventory and Material Control: Monitor our stock procedures and material controls to reduce spending, waste, and inventory levels.
• Supplier Database Management: manage and develop our comprehensive supplier database for ongoing management and performance evaluation.
• Supplier Negotiations: Regularly negotiate and agree supplier terms, monitor contract progress, and ensure high quality of service.
• Compliance and Policy Adherence: Manage our PEFC & FSC audit. Complete EPR and EUDR reporting. Processing supplementary declarations via the Trader Support Service. Ensure compliance with the company’s BRCG and ISO 9001 Quality Management standards.
Essential Criteria:
• 3+ years of experience in a supply chain or materials planning role.
• Strong business, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and IT systems
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a high level of initiative.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to address issues across various departments.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Desirable criteria:
• EFI/ Radius experience
