Job Title: SQL DBA – Infrastructure (6-Month Contract)
Location: Belfast (Hybrid)
Salary: £43,000 - £45,000 per annum (Temporary Role)
Duration: 6 Months

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Health Service NI as a SQL DBA – Infrastructure on a 6-month contract. Based in Belfast with a hybrid working model, this role is perfect for an experienced SQL Database Administrator with a strong background in infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain SQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
• Oversee database infrastructure, including backups, disaster recovery, and system monitoring.
• Perform database tuning, upgrades, and patch management to ensure system reliability.
• Support infrastructure projects and collaborate with IT teams to implement solutions.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support for users.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a SQL DBA, with a focus on infrastructure management.
• Strong skills in database performance tuning, backups, and recovery strategies.
• Experience in managing SQL Server environments.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, high availability, and server management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience working within public sector or health services is desirable.
