Role Overview
The
M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Design Manager will integrate into a well-established
strategic team of Fit-Out specialists, the role will involve technical coordination
of fitout projects from pre-construction through to hand over to the client.
What
you’ll do
·
Lead on any technical evaluation of quality and tender documentation
·
Risk assess/review all tender documentation and specifications
identifying any anomalies with a subsequent resolution plan
·
Coordinate with the project Contract Manager and client liaison on all M
& E design and installation matters
·
Monitor all design documentation and work closely with the commercial
team on procurement strategy
·
Coordinate and convene design review meetings
·
Lead in M & E design/installation strategy and innovation
·
Provide ongoing technical support to the project contract manager and
wider project team
·
Management and coordination of supply chain partners
·
Conduct continuous improvement meetings with internal and external
stakeholders
What you’ll
bring
As M&E Design Manager, your main skills and experience
will include the following criteria:
Essential
Criteria
- Possess strong experience managing M & E design packages
within the Construction or Fit Out sectors
- Qualified in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline
- Strong background in M&E engineering, with hands-on
experience in project management
- Proficiency in using management software (CAFM/Microsoft/AutoCad
or equivalent Design Software)
- Demonstrated ability to integrate into a well-established
delivery team
- Ability to demonstrate leadership, make quick decisions and
prioritise tasks under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with clients, team members,
and other stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management abilities

Strong commercial knowledge relating to
project programmes, budget control and resource allocation
Desirable
Criteria
- Qualified to degree level in a mechanical or electrical
engineering discipline
- ·
Relevant certifications CSR/CSCS
