The anticipated time commitment associated with the role is approximately 2 days per month.

The Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) is Northern Ireland’s principal educational body responsible for Curriculum Development and Implementation, Examinations and Qualifications and Assessment. CCEA plays a central role in Northern Ireland’s education system, setting curriculum frameworks, administering exams, and providing innovative assessment solutions.

As a key body within the education system CCEA influences how young people learn, achieve, and progress in their educational journey with a mission to enable the full potential of all learners to be achieved and recognised.

In supporting the Chairperson, CCEA Council Members (Board Members) play an important role, requiring a strong ability to support strategic decision making, work well with others, and uphold good governance within an organisation.

These positions offer an exciting opportunity for successful candidates to enhance their professional and personal development within an organisation that plays a key role in supporting the educational outcomes of children and young people.
