Exciting new opportunity to work as a Park Warden with Belfast City Council based in The Botanic Gardens.
This post is initially on a temporary basis for 3 months with the possibility of an extension. The post is full-time working 37 hours a week
between the hours of 06.30am -11pm, Monday to Sunday. The rate of pay is £13.93 an hour.
A successful candidate’s main duties will include:
- Enforcing council bye-laws such as dog control orders and litter control
- Patrolling the park and allotments
- Identifying problems and handling issues related to antisocial behaviour
- Updating and maintaining park opening signs
- Undertaking routine inspections of paths, park furniture, lighting and reporting any issues
- To lift litter, waste, rubbish and hazardous materials such as glass bottles, dog fouling etc
- Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks
What we Need from You:
- Clean and current UK driving licence
- 1 year relevant work experience dealing with members of the public
- Experience working within a security role, for example, opening/closing facilities, carrying out patrols, setting alarms, recording
and reporting incidents and working with other statutory bodies
- Working in an enforcement or legislative role, for example, dog control orders, litter code and, or alcohol enforcement
