Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Housing First Case Worker, servicing the Greater Belfast area with a salary of £26,911 per year, along with a staff benefits package. Some hybrid working is also a consideration for this opportunity.

Our client is one of the biggest cross-border charities that has supported well over 7,000 individuals and more than 600 families over the last year. They offer a wide range of services for those who experience homelessness, and to change the lives of those who are affected by homelessness.

This role will be based in our client's Housing First Service.

Responsibilities:

With a full copy of the job spec available on request, you will:

  • Support people with a range of mental health illness, complex needs, and experience high levels of homelessness.
  • Aid in supporting individuals to access and maintain a home in the community.
  • Be part of a team adopting a harm reduction, low threshold approach - supporting and signposting and empowering service users to manage their lives.
  • Provide individualised support plans, group work, and targeted interventions.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Health and Social Care along with 2 years' experience in a similar setting, or, 3 years' experience along with 3 GCSEs that include English and Maths.
  • NISCC registration preferable.
  • Experience in working with vulnerable adults, creating, and implementing support plans and risk assessments.
  • Understanding of homelessness and knowledge of statutory agencies with the ability to engage and network with these agencies.
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a car for business purposes.
  • Able to work shifts that include evenings, weekends, and unsocial hours on a rota basis.
