Practice Manager

My client, based in Belfast BT13, requires an enthusiastic Practice Manager to join their friendly, well-organised practice team on a permanent full-time basis (37.5hrs per week), however 30 hours/week would be considered. This is an inner-city practice (patient population approx. 3000) which has a well-staffed team of 2 GP partners, 1 salaried GP, 1 practice and 2 treatment room nurses, a practice pharmacist and 4 reception/administrative staff. The Practice Manager will lead the efficient, smooth running of the practice and its finances. The successful candidate will be responsible for the office and nursing staff.

Essential Criteria:

• Candidate must be educated to level 4/5 on National Qualification Framework and hold five GCSEs or equivalent to include English Language and Maths.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant supervisory/management experience to include recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Proficient in use of IT systems including Microsoft Excel spreadsheets or similar
• Financial management experience
• Experience of managing the provision of a service to members of the public
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Criteria:

• Practice Manager Diploma or equivalent/experience of management in primary care to include management of staff and finance systems
• Experience of General Practice IT systems – Vision or similar and understanding of GMS new contract
• Practical experience of accounting systems/Payroll
• Experience of dealing with complaints
• Knowledge of relevant legislation (Health and Safety, Employment/Equality etc)

Salary £31,200-£37,050 pro-rata, dependent on experience
