As Financial Controller, you will oversee all administrative, control and reporting functions within the Finance department, playing a critical role in the company’s financial health. Responsibilities include:
- Financial Leadership: Manage all financial operations of the company.
- Project Financial Performance: Prepare and present monthly project financial results, collaborating closely with Project Managers and department heads to forecast and update financial performance.
- Liaison with Parent Company: Maintain strong communication with the finance team
- Payments and Payroll: Final review and approval of all payments, including payroll, supplier, and subcontractor payments.
- Year-End Management: Ownership of year-end accounts and audit pack preparation.
- Cash Flow and Budgeting: Manage cash flow and prepare budgets and forecasts.
- Process Improvements: Drive efficiency and improvements in financial reporting systems, internal controls, and processes, including the introduction of new systems.
- Statutory Returns: Review and submit VAT, RCT, and CIS returns.
- External Liaison: Act as the first point of contact for auditors and other external bodies.
What You’ll Need:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
- 10+ years’ experience in a fast-paced finance environment, with proven team management experience.
- Strong business acumen with expertise in controls and procedures.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial systems.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and a team player.
- Experience in construction or engineering sectors is desirable but not essential.
