Sales Executive (field)

Contracted hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £32 - 34k basic. OTE circa 3k subject to hitting targets.

Package: 28 days including Bank Holidays, Business vehicle, Phone, Uniform, Laptop, Training, Flexible Hours, Relaxed Working Environment,

Reporting to: Business Owner

Key Tasks

Sales and Business Activity

  • Identify, profile, analyse and implement new sales opportunities in NI and ROI
  • Talk to on the phone, visit in person all manner of domestic customers in order to sell the best products to them.
  • Talk to on the phone, visit in person all manner of Business Partners in order to create partnerships.
  • We are not a cold calling company, however, actively undertake lead generation activities in line with the business needs.
  • Undertake survey visits and virtual survey calls.
  • Collect key information including videos and photos to ensure all jobs can be completed first time every time.
  • Price jobs competitively inline with company pricing structure.
  • Produce proposals for clients using the company's CRM system.
  • Follow up with clients in a timely manner to drive successful sales.
  • Locate new, manage existing, win and grow key partnerships throughout Northern Ireland and R.O.I.
  • Undertake regular work in NI to generate sales both domestically and via our partners.
  • Undertake regular work in the ROI to generate sales both domestically and via our partners.
  • Work to targets and KPI’s as requested.
  • Attend trade shows and events as and when required. This will include some weekend working.
  • Be flexible with working times to ensure we make contact with clients. This will include some evening and weekend work.
  • Make best use of sales techniques to overcome barriers to sale.
  • Consult with team members including the sales admin support team, the yard team, the tradesmen and scheduler to aid sales and provide clients with key data to aid sales.
  • At all times be aware of the current sales position against targets and have a plan in place to address performance.
  • Learning and keeping abreast of the latest products and building requirements in the field of the business.
  • Identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Proactively assist management to develop business and extend the customer account base.
  • Support day to day business development activities as required.
  • Undertake other duties as requested.
  • To actively work within and promote the companies Values. In doing so promote the Company in a proactive and positive manner at all times.

Record Keeping and Reporting

  • Following comprehensive marketing and advertising activities leading to quality lead generation you will be responsible for filling your own diary with surveys, other lead generation activities, where required seeking assistance from the rest of the team.
  • Attend sales meetings and actively lead and report on agreed sales KPI’s.
  • Maintain detailed records as required using agreed methods.
  • Complete KPI reports as required.
  • Using the CRM system keep proper and up to date records of all communications with leads and clients.

Experience

  • Have a minimum of 3 years field sales experience ideally within the construction industry (but not a deal breaker).

and/or

  • Have a minimum of 3 years Construction Industry experience, preferably in roof construction.
  • Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in telephone led sales.
  • Essential in working successfully to targets and KPI’s.
  • Essential lead generation especially in challenging times.
  • Essential in taking the lead and positively influencing others.
  • Ideally have created quotes and take payments over the phone and in person.
  • Ideally Highly IT literate, with experience of working with CRM systems.
