(HML) is the manufacturing and supply business that provides clients with a unique in-house supply chain service, guaranteeing delivery of quality and sustainable products and services. Incorporating 4 manufacturing businesses, Heron Joinery, Heron Fire Doors, Promould and recently acquired Shadbolt Doors along with service business Heron Contracts. Heron Manufacture Ltd. has a turnover of £30m, delivering strong profitability and employs 232 people.

With a focused Heron Manufacture Ltd management structure, management of input costs, growth in sales and improvement in efficiency through the introduction of lean manufacturing techniques, HML has experienced significant growth in recent years. Ambitious plans across all divisions will seek to drive growth of HML to £50m turnover in 2025/26.

This role presents a significant career opportunity and has arisen due to the pending retirement of the current Director and the Heron Group’s approach to effective succession planning. It requires an ambitious and dynamic leader who has operated successfully in a leadership role at director level in the manufacturing sector. The role also demands the ability to combine traditional values with an advanced innovative approach and strong strategic and financial acumen to lead on the commercial development of the business with focus on continued collaboration, across all divisions and customer engagement across sectors.
