Your new role
The Fundraising Officer will work closely with a team of 9 and report directly to the Head of Communications & Fundraising. The successful candidate will support the delivery of the charity's fundraising strategy by supporting existing corporate partners and researching new areas of support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop an annual calendar of corporate fundraising activities.
- Support a series of agreed fundraising events and activities to achieve individual fundraising targets.
- Represent the charity at fundraising events, ensuring high standards of communication and professionalism.
- Build relationships with existing supporters, including corporate partners and other businesses, to maximise support.
- Explore opportunities for new fundraising networks within the local business sector by developing a database of opportunities.
- Collaborate with fundraising colleagues and other teams to achieve annual objectives.
- Ensure all supporters and volunteers are thanked in a timely and appropriate manner with accurate and positive thank you letters.
What you'll need to succeed
- GCSE Maths & English (A* - C) or equivalent
- A Level/RQF Level 3 qualification or equivalent
- Experience in the delivery of fundraising activities, in a professional capacity.
- Experience of delivering excellent supporter or customer care
- Able to demonstrate a high standard of communication and presentation skills
- Able to work collaboratively with key stakeholders.
- Able to demonstrate ability to meet business targets and outcomes
- Excellent administrative skills (including organisational skills, use and application of information technology, monitoring and reporting)
- A full current driving licence and access to a car is essential. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.

- Salary £25,865 to £27,847 per annum based on 35 hours per week and pro-rata as appropriate.
