VANRATH are partnered with a Professional Services firm in Belfast in their recruitment for a Financial Controller to join the team on a 6–9-month basis. This is an urgent position for the business and would suit candidates who are available on a shortened notice period.

The Financial Controller will report to the Head of Finance and will assume responsibility for the Belfast office financial reporting, including budgeting & forecasting, preparation of annual accounts and ensuring the finance transactions are processed in line with SLAs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business who are well respected within their niche field, alongside getting exposure to a highly regulated environment.

About you

• Qualified Accountant with 5+ years PQE
• Comfortable working in a deadline driven environment, managing multiple deadlines at once
• Supervisory experience
• Strong IT skills
• Ability to interact with internal & external stakeholders

What you’ll do

• Prepare and present all monthly financial reporting
• Cashflow management
• Prepare annual budgets
• Balance sheet recs
• Preparation and submission of annual accounts
• Responsible for leading annual audit process
• Management of junior team members
