Signatus are working with a high street solicitors practice to recruit an experienced legal accounts administrator into their accounts team in Belfast. The role would suit a legal bookkeeper or accounts assistant with previous specific legal cashier/accounts experience. Our client is flexible to consider applicants on either a full or part time basis provided there is a competent level of recent legal accounts experience and a background of having worked in a law firm or under SAR/Law Society frameworks.

Your remuneration will vary depending on your experience level and whether you are Full time or Part time but typically the range will be between £15ph up to max £20ph.

Our client, a respected legal practice, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Accounts Administrator to join their team on a part-time basis. This position is crucial for maintaining the firm’s financial accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. If you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working within a legal framework, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The legal accounts administrator will be responsible for maintaining accurate client accounts and handling funds in accordance with regulations. They will ensure all financial activities comply with Solicitors' Account Rules (SAR) and will perform regular bank reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies and managing client payments. In addition to assisting with credit control, invoicing, and book-keeping, the role involves supporting the team during annual audits to ensure the integrity of financial data. The candidate will also assist in monitoring transactions to prevent fraud and financial irregularities.
Essential Skills:
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent personal presentation and strong customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. They should be highly organised, with a keen eye for detail, and proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience in book-keeping or credit control is preferred, while prior experience in a legal environment is essential.
