You'll be at the forefront of ensuring smooth payroll operations across the College. Your contributions will help streamline processes, maintain compliance with regulations, and foster collaboration. Some of your responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll, making sure all statutory and non-statutory deductions are processed efficiently.
  • Assisting in the development and review of payroll procedures, aligning with the College’s strategic goals.
  • Keeping up to date with HMRC and pension legislation and providing expert advice on payroll compliance.
  • Managing payroll systems and collaborating with various departments for smooth operations.
  • Promoting effective communication within the Finance Team and across the College.
About You:
  • You’re proactive, detail-oriented and passionate about payroll.
Experience:
  • 3 years in payroll plus a Payroll Qualification OR 5 years in a dedicated payroll role.
  • Proven experience with integrated payroll software, payroll issue resolution, and HMRC compliance.
Skills:
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities, with the capacity to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Robust knowledge of payroll legislation.
