The Role will consist of:
Supporting HR Managers, Officers and working with managers and employees to deliver people advice of a clear, high quality and building effective relationships across the HR function to deliver first response service.
- Provide advice and support applicants, employees and managers.
- Undertake projects, prepare reports and make recommendations to improve service delivery
- Attend sickness/absence meetings with managers, prepare occupational health referrals
- Responsible for writing and reviewing job advertisements, job descriptions and personnel specifications as required
- Preparation of recruitment and selection documentation, participation in shortlisting and on interview panels ensuring Equal opportunities and fair employment procedures are being implemented
- Assistance in the overall recruitment process including the development of work based assessment centres, producing job offers and contracts of employment and ensuring pre-employments checks are complete
- Act as the HR representative in investigations being carried out
- Effective management of the HR group email inbox
- Conducting exit interviews
- Maintenance of effective records and systems
- Participate in the review of policies, practises and procedures and the implementation of new and revised procedures
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential:
- CIPD level 3 qualification OR a minimum of 4 years experience and a willingness to work towards the qualification
- 2 years experience in a people oriented role including problem solving, experience dealing with challenging queries, advising internal and external customers on issues (in person and on the phone)
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a role involving inputting information accurately, production of letters, reports and other documents
Desirable:
- CIPD Level 5
- Experience in recruitment and selection
- Experience using HR information systems
