Commercial Manager (Mechanical Estimating)

One of Northern Ireland's most progressive Contractors currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Estimator / Commercial Manager to join their team due to team expansion within their Belfast office. Working on projects within the Commercial, Leisure and Education sector the M&E Estimating / Commercial Manager will manage all commercial tasks and demonstrate strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical estimating.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare tenders
• Pricing from first principles within the Electrical aspects of the project
• Upload all relevant tender information using Estimation
• Tender Submission meeting and interviews
• Interface effectively with clients.
• Day-to-day management of the tender process ensuring standards are maintained and deadlines are met.
• Commercial Management

Essential Skills:

• HND/HNC or equivalent within Building Services or trade qualified
• Ideally have mechanical bias although electrical not ruled out
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong Commercial Acumen
• Excellent Negotiation Skills
• Desire to progress career within the company moving forwards and eventually manage junior staff
• Experience gained within an M&E contracting environment
• Working knowledge of Estimation software
• Good knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract
