The Primary Care Clinical Trials
Manager will work as a
member of the Northern Ireland Clinical Research Network (NICRN) to support and promote the practice of clinical research in
Primary Care. The role will support the aims of NICRN, working in
partnership with key stakeholders to secure the achievement and maintenance of
national targets, including the accrual of patients into trials and other
high-quality studies, within the network.
The post holder will:
- Initiate and develop relationships with GP Practices and other key Primary Care Sites across Northern Ireland with a view to securing and delivering successful primary care research studies.
- Coordinate
and assist in recruiting primary care sites and participants for research
studies, ensuring effective collaboration.
- Lead on the scheduling, planning and
delivery of site visits and events to direct recruitment activity including
meetings with respective organisations management, research events and
conferences and participate in the same.
Essential Criteria:
- Honours degree AND 3 years’ experience in GP
Practice Manager role working within a multi-professional team and
including limes manager of staff
OR
- For applicants without a degree, 5
years, or more relevant experience as detailed above.
- Experience in financial and project
management
- Familiarity with the issues
surrounding clinical data, particularly confidentiality
- Willing to work flexible hours when required.
- Full current driving licence (valid in the UK)
and have access to a car at the closing date or have **access to a form of
transport which will permit the Applicant to carry out the duties of the
training post in full. **This relates only to any person who has declared
