Care Assistant – Magilligan Prison (Limavady Area)

Care Assistant positions available for Magilligan Prison, Magilligan Prison is a medium security prison run by the Northern Ireland prison service. Situated near Limavady, County Londonderry.

As a core member of the care team, you will be responsible to work alongside the Registered Nurses to help support the wellbeing of each client and completing clinical observations whilst ensuring privacy and dignity are maintained. This role will also include helping with admin duties, pharmacy audits and helping with the pharmacy stock order.

This role is between 25 – 37.5 hours per week, on a rota basis throughout Monday to Sunday. Hourly rate of £11.67 – £19.72, depending on shift worked. Our client would prefer staff that are able to cover days and night duties if needed.

This role requires candidates to be Medication Trained & also have attended Clinical Observations Training, if not, we are able to provide this for you in our office prior to your start date, although you must have previous experience administering medication!

What We Need From You:

• 3 months experience in a Healthcare Setting
• To be Niscc registered, or willing to apply
• To have, or be willing to attend all mandatory training courses
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced Access Ni check
