Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: £17.12 per hour
  • Location: Belfast
  • Hours of Work: 37 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm
  • Holidays: 35 days pro rata

Duties include:

  • To support the Finance Projects and Reporting Manager to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of Financial Systems Development and provide a lead role in systems projects and financial reporting within the Finance Division.
  • To carry out project work as directed by the Finance Projects and Reporting Manager using the principles of good project management and in line with Housing Executive practice.
  • Proactively explore opportunities to develop and expand the service provided with the aim to continually ensure high quality assurance processes, systems, customer service and or management information etc.
  • To deliver appropriate training to the Finance Division as and when required.
  • To assist in the management the Finance Systems and Compliance team according to the principles of performance management, attendance management and personal development.

Criteria:

  • A degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant subject (such as IT or accounting) and a minimum of 1 years' relevant experience in a Business Improvement / Financial Systems environment.

OR

  • Foundation papers of a CCAB Accounting Body and a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a Business Improvement / Financial Systems environment.

OR

  • Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development/experiential learning and a minimum of 3 years’ working within a Business Improvement / Financial Systems environment.
  • Can demonstrate significant relevant experience of experience of:
  • Developing financial reports for Senior Management to tight timescales using Business Intelligence Tools e.g. Business Objects / PowerBI. Taking a lead role in significant business improvement projects
  • Candidates must also demonstrate significant relevant experience in at least 2 of the following areas:
  • Experience in the implementation and/or development and/or maintenance of financial management systems.
  • Experience in developing Complex Excel spreadsheet models to suit business requirements.
  • Experience in implementing new business processes within a Finance environment, ensuring appropriate controls and enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic Access NI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
