About the role:

- Based at either Dunore (Crumlin), Castor Bay (Lurgan) or Ballinrees (Coleraine), but mobile to all Alpha sites.

Your focus will be to provide ICA services to area-based Process Team to ensure that the team meets and exceeds its targets and critical business performance measures.
Core technical duties will include: - Maintain & replace all online instrumentation, to ensure contractual compliance.
- Support Operations in performance & optimization of plant processes.
- Identify weaknesses/areas of improvement & provide solutions. This may include Root Cause Analysis and preparation of Business Cases and Tender documentation.
- Produce PLC coding improvements & SCADA updates.
- Manage & maintain backups of all code & SCADA projects across all NIW Alpha sites.
- Manage & control all relevant software package updates & control of licenses.
- Engage with Framework contractors to deliver projects on budget and time for Capital schemes.
- Collate data for Management team for monthly operating reports & contractual requirements including audits.
- Facilitate integration of Client efficiency & process improvement Projects onto SCADA system.
- Liaise with Client & facilitate current & future IT security enhancements across all NIW Alpha sites.
Criteria:- A 3rd level qualification, for example a degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant electrical or combined field of Engineering
- Four years technical experience and understanding of process control, in particular PLC and SCADA systems, industrial Ethernet and Profibus.
- Four years’ experience in calibration of various instrumentation, i.e. flow meters and level transducers.
- Four years’ experience of writing, implementing and fault finding PLC code.
- Four years’ experience in a commercially orientated and/or regulated environment.
- Four years’ experience in incident management and asset failure recovery.
- Two years’ experience of Health and Safety management processes and systems.
- Competent in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
- Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with key contacts internally and externally.
