Assistant Accountant

I am currently working with an established employer based in the Lisburn area to recruit an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their existing finance team.

Your new role
As a member of the existing team, your responsibilities will include:

• Accounting activity including processing sales and purchase invoices; journal entries such as deferred income, prepayments, accruals; and financial reporting.
• Balance sheet reconciliations including debtors, creditors, fixed assets, VAT, bank
• Assume a key role in month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial results are reported on a timely basis
• Assist with external audit queries
• Complete KPIs for internal and external stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this position, candidates should have experience working within a finance or accounts team. Functional knowledge of general accounting processes and an understanding of internal control elements are essential. Additionally, applicants must have experience in preparing UK statutory accounts and a strong grasp of UK GAAP.
