POSITION: Support Services Housekeeper
LOCATION: Belfast, BT8
HOURLY RATE: £11.45-£20.95
•
basic rate: Mon-Fri 6.00am to 8.00pm
•
unsocial hours rate: Mon-Fri 8.00pm-6.00am; Sat (24hr); Sunday
& Pub Hols (24hrs)
HOURS: 4 day week (2 week rota with alternate weekends)
•
3 days - 10 hour shift 7am to 5:30 pm
•
1 day - 7.5 hours 9.30am to 5.30am
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Band 2 Support
Services Housekeeper for Belfast, BT8 area.
Main Responsibilities/Duties:
For each of the following, the postholder will;
Catering
•
Preparing beverages, snacks, preparation and cooking of meals as per
menu
•
Ordering food, maintaining adequate stocks and ensuring good stock
rotation
•
Complying with all food hygiene control systems
•
Labelling and dating of food on delivery
•
Ensuring food is correctly and safely stored
•
Dishwashing
•
Cleaning all kitchen equipment
Cleaning
•
Cleaning of sinks, baths, toilets, showers and urinals.
•
Damp cleaning of furniture, fixtures, fittings, paintwork, tiles and
glass partition.
•
All floor maintenance i.e. vacuuming, damp mopping, spray cleaning,
burnishing, machine scrubbing and shampooing.
Laundry
•
Hand washing of non-launderable items
•
Laundering and ironing of personal clothing, bed linen, towels etc.
•
Cleaning laundry equipment

Essential Criteria:
Applicants must, by the closing date for
applications, have:
Experience/Qualifications
1.) Paid experience in cooking for a large
family group.
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
2.) Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Desirable Criteria:
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or
equivalent.
• Cooking qualification.
• Experience in working within a health and
social care environment.
Further Details:
• Must be 18 years of age or over.
