The Client – This large organisation operates across a broad remit through its specific departments and is currently seeking a Grade 6 personnel to provide high level administrative support within their Births, Deaths & Marriages remit.
The Role –36 hours per week, hybrid structure with a base site of Bangor. Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate may be required to work evenings/ weekends were needed and will need access to a car to fulfil the full extent of the duties.
Duties would include but not be limited to:
- Maintain a comprehensive and detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, whilst providing accurate advice, written or spoken in relation to all aspects of registration.
- To register births/still births and deaths including the issuing of all relevant forms and to fulfil all legal requirements including the Coroners Act and the Register Generals Regulations.
- To register Marriages and Civil Partnerships within the council area.
- To perform and solemnise Civil Marriages and perform and administer Civil Partnerships.
- To be Responsible for eliciting correct and appropriate fees for all births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships.
- To comply with and promote equality, health and safety in accordance with Council Policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- 2 GCS ‘A’ levels or equivalent and 2 years’ previous employment experience as detailed below.
OR
- 5 GCSE’s (Grades A-C), or equivalent and 3 years’ previous employment experience as detailed below; -
- Dealing with the public in stressful and confidential, face to face situations.

- IT Literate
