Short Term Hire Controller

My client is a leading distributor based in Lisburn; they are currently seeking a Short-Term Hire Controller to join their team.

This is a Full-Time, temporary Position.

Working hours: Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 5pm

With an hourly rate of £13 per hour

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous administrative experience within a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good working IT skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Setup of Hire agreements and allocation of equipment, ensuring that all internal processes are followed.
  • Liaise with Service/Yard to arrange Pre-Hire Inspections on equipment.
  • Planning delivery and collection of Equipment for internal delivery Fleet.
  • Ensure that Yard Operative has equipment ready for hire prior to leaving site for delivery to customer.
  • Compile and provide hire quotes for clients in a timely manner, whilst checking for valid accounts in line with credit control measures.
  • Provide all opportunities and lost sales to development team.
  • Accurately raise hire Contracts ensuring the correct on Hire/Off Hire dates are input into protean system.
  • Ensure that any Contracts off hired prior to Month end are closed off and invoiced accordingly.
  • Monitor any equipment not Available for hire due to technical issues and liaise with service etc to ensure any issues are addressed swiftly so that Equipment is ready for hire at soonest possible time.
  • Support the Sales team to ensure that any specific customer requirements are available and/or develop new product offerings to our Clients.
  • Communicate customers concerns in a professional manner.
  • Liaise with customers on the Delivery/Collection Status of equipment on daily basis.
  • Take responsibility for own Health and Safety as well as your colleagues ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to all times.
  • Ensure correct PPE is always worn (High Viz Vest/Steel toe boots, bump cap & safety glasses etc).
