Gravedigger (Ards & North Down)

Hays are delighted to be working alongside Ards & North Down borough council, who are recruiting seasonal Gravediggers to join their team based in Clandeboye cemetery.
Your new role
You will work as a member of the Parks and Cemeteries team with responsibility for carrying out general maintenance duties at Clandeboye cemetery. This will include operating a range of equipment to carry out ground maintenance duties including grass cutting, weeding beds, trimming hedges and shrubs. You may also need to brush paths and roadways, and plant flowers, shrubs and trees.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need to have a full driving licence and be able to provide a recent employment reference. You will ideally have previous experience of working in a similar environment, dealing with members of the public and have previously carried out ground maintenance duties.
What you'll get in return
You will work 36 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 8.00-16.00 and Friday 8.00-14.30, with a competitive hourly rate on offer, for which you will be paid weekly. This is a seasonal position, with the role expected to finish in September and represents a great opportunity to join Ards & North Down borough council.
