Northern Ireland’s first Young Leaders’ Conference will take place in Belfast on May 25, with key note addresses from leaders of UK Industry and some of Northern Ireland’s most successful businesses.
The conference is a major new initiative from Young Leaders NI, an organisation formed by the Institute of Directors -Young Directors’ Forum, Belfast Junior Chamber, the Northern Ireland Young Solicitors’ Association, and the Chartered Accountants Ulster Society Young Professionals.
Speaking at the launch of the conference, Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Niall Ó Donnghaile, said: “I am delighted to launch this conference which is aimed at inspiring leadership amongst our local young professionals and entrepreneurs. There has never been a better time to invest in our young, up-coming talent – those who will become the business leaders of tomorrow.”
Neal Lucas, Chair of the IoD, Young Director’s Forum said: “Young Leaders NI is a group of dedicated individuals who have come together to encourage and inspire the leaders of tomorrow across industry and the professional services in Northern Ireland – through education, sharing ideas and creating personal development opportunities.
“This Young Leaders’ Conference will give those attending the opportunity to learn from and engage with some of the best business minds in Northern Ireland and further afield.”
The Young Leaders Conference will take place in Riddel Hall, Queen’s University, Belfast on May 25, and is open to young professionals from any business discipline. It will host up to 200 delegates for the one day event, and is anticipated to be a stand out event in 2012 for young professionals who want to develop their leadership skills and network with some of Northern Ireland’s top up-and-coming and established business leaders.
