A CATERING scheme aims to give unemployed young people the training and experience they need to find work in the sector.
Run in connection with the Mourne Seafood Bar in Belfast and The Prince’s Trust, Get into Cooking is a free, short course open to Northern Ireland residents aged 16-24 who are unemployed.
Participants will get intensive training from qualified professionals, up to two weeks work experience, a Level 2 Food Safety Award, and the opportunity to work as part of a team.
Jointly funded by the Savoy Educational Trust and the Northern Ireland European Social Fund 2014-2020 – Investment for Growth and Jobs Programme, The Prince’s Trust will cover any travel expenses, and pay childcare costs for any single parents on the course.
An introductory day takes place on October 19 and those interested in applying can do so by calling 028 9089 5000 or by emailing OutreachNI@princes-trust.org.uk.
