Industry leaders have glimpsed the future of tourism in Northern Ireland thanks to a group of talented interior design students from the University of Ulster.
As part of their course work they presented representatives from the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and Belfast City Council with their unique ideas to encourage more visitors to the city and beyond.
The presentation entitled ‘Tourism 2012’ was organised to highlight the quality of thinking, creativity and entrepreneurship of third year BDes Hons Interior Design students.
The event was hosted by the university’s School of Architecture and Design and course director, Olga Harnett-Makem.
She said: “Interior designers have the ability and resources to solve problems innovatively while enhancing the user’s quality of life, business opportunities and cultural experience.”
