Magdalena Ryan, a part-time accounting student at the Ulster Business School, has placed first in Ireland and 11th in the world in the 2013 Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams.
Magdalena from Newry, who works for Envirogroup Ltd in Warrenpoint, excelled in the taxation paper and was presented with the ACCA Special Achievement Award at Ulster Business School’s Annual Student Awards in recognition of her success.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Dr Gillian Armstrong, head of the department of accounting, finance and economics said: “The Ulster Business School prides itself on delivering courses which enable students to experience the practical application and professional orientation of these areas.”
