Six new apprentices for ICT firm

5th April 2017

ICT SOLUTIONS provider Fujitsu has appointed six new apprentices.

The new recruits are part of an ongoing drive by the company to equip young people with the skills needed for a career in the technology sector.

The latest intake of Fujitsu apprentices in Northern Ireland are a result of the Department for the Economy’s IT and Telecoms Professional Apprenticeship Programme, which is delivered in partnership with Belfast Metropolitan College. The apprentices are embarking on a two year Apprenticeship Programme which will see them gain a Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeship in ICT Systems and Principles for IT Professionals.

Louise Hull, apprentice programme manager at Fujitsu said: “We work collaboratively with Belfast Met to deliver an apprenticeship programme which equips students with the latest knowledge and key insights on ICT trends and advancements. This, coupled with the hands-on, practical experience gained through working in Fujitsu, ensures that our apprentices are ready for a career in the fast-paced and ever-evolving world of ICT.”
