Shortlist for CIPD NI awards is revealed

THE shortlist for this year’s CIPD Northern Ireland Awards has been revealed.

The awards celebrating excellence within the HR profession will be presented at a gala ceremony in Belfast next month to teams, individuals and organisations across 10 categories.

CIPD, the professional body for HR and people development, said all those shortlisted reflected the growth and quality of the HR work being delivered in the private, public and voluntary sectors throughout Northern Ireland.

The awards, with Grafton Recruitment as principal sponsor and Nijobfinder as media partner, will be presented at a gala ceremony in Titanic Belfast on May 18.

Shortlisted in the various categories are:

Best Employee Engagement Strategy: Bank of Ireland, Kennedy Recruitment, Lagan Construction, Macklin Group, Mount Charles, Novosco, Ulster Bank.

Outstanding Student of the Year: Allstate, Inspire Wellbeing, Mid Ulster Council, Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Sensata Technology

Health and Wellbeing: Bank of Ireland, Business Services Organisation, Lagan Construction, Queen’s University Belfast, SEHSCT

Consultant or Consultancy of the Year: Happy Raspberry, Think People, Willis Employment Services

Best Change Management Initiative: Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, B/E Aerospace, Inspire Wellbeing, Macklin Group

Talent Management Programme of the Year: BSO Career Pathways, BSO HSC Leadership Centre, Dennison Commercials, Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Thales

Most Effective Organisational Learning and Development Strategy: Danske Bank, HeartSine, Lagan Construction Group, Viridian

HR Team of the Year: Belfast Met College, Lagan Construction, Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Willis Employment Services

The winners of the award for HR Director of the Year and the Chair’s Special Achievement Award, which will recognise an individual, team or organisation who has made a significant contribution to the profession in Northern Ireland, will also be revealed at the gala ceremony.

Lynn Carson, Chair of CIPD NI, explained this year they were honoured to have a strong panel of nine highly regarded HR professionals judging a record number of entries. Lynn added that the CIPD Northern Ireland Awards have gone from strength to strength each year and that the awards are now a firm fixture in the HR industry calendar and a great way for HR professionals here to get the recognition they deserve.
