A free programme geared towards helping people into sustainable employment commences later this month.
The Exploring Enterprise2 Programme, delivered by LEDCOM on behalf of Carrickfergus Borough Council and Enterprise Northern Ireland, aims to support individuals back into employment and help them develop possible business ideas.
Carrickfergus mayor, William Ashe, has encouraged the local community to take advantage of the support offered through Exploring Enterprise2 to improve their employment prospects.
The programme is free to those not in employment or working 16 hours or less a week and aims to help participants gain sustainable employment through mentoring, training and by gaining a recognised qualification.
Ledcom’s Exploring Enterprise2 Programme Trainer, Linzi Conway, explained: “Participants can include the longterm unemployed, lone parents, stay-at-home mums, people with disabilities or with low or no qualifications, young people not in education, older workers and the recently retired.”
The course commences on January 23 in Oakfield Community Development Centre, Carrickfergus.
