A Northern Ireland law firm is creating 10 new jobs as part of a £1m expansion.
JMK Solicitors, which has offices in Belfast and Newry, said it will grow its business over the next three years.
And it says it will expand its team to 55 staff by the end of year.
It’s putting the fresh funding into growing the workforce, as well as “investing in career development, IT and marketing”.
Last year it dealt with 1,290 personal injury cases, based across Northern Ireland.
Set up in 2003, the business says it has helped thousands of clients claim more than £100m in compensation.
Those include personal injuries claims, road traffic accidents and medical incidents.
Maurece Hutchinson, managing director, said: “The work we have completed and the clients we represent speak for themselves in clearly illustrating the firm’s ability and quality of service and it is a testament to our dedication to ensure that every client fully and fairly recovers their losses with the least possible stress.
“JMK Solicitors is establishing itself as one of the most modern, consumer-focused and progressive legal advisers in Northern Ireland, delivering outstanding legal services to meet a variety of consumer needs.”
Jonathan McKeown, chairman of the law firm, said: “Our investment in new talent is central to a strategy that places experience and commitment at the heart of our plans for growth.”
And he added: “Our specialist knowledge in these areas, years of working successfully for those in need of advice after an accident or injury has led to an increasing demand for our services and we are delighted to be able to make this significant investment in the local economy.”
