A Northern Ireland community healthcare firm is adding 60 new jobs amid its expansion across Ireland.
Homecare Independent Living is adding 20 posts at its headquarters in Milford in Co Armagh – with a further 40 jobs also being created in the Republic.
The firm employs more than 1,200 people and has offices in Armagh, Belfast, Magherafelt, Ballymena as well as in the Republic.
It’s understood the company is currently recruiting for the new posts, which will be across management, administration, marketing as well as communications.
Homecare Independent Living chief operating officer Adrian Norton said that as a “leader in the homecare provision marketplace it is essential that we have clear strategies in place to allow our business to evolve”.
“Planning is key, investment is key and investing in the right people will empower us to drive our agenda forwards as a leader in homecare provision,” he said.
“Last year, when we officially opened our Belfast offices, we announced a significant investment in technology, software development, advanced staff training and transportation as part of the drive to enhance services supporting rural and urban areas here in Northern Ireland.
“This announcement further demonstrates our commitment to investing in the communities in which we serve. Our people are at the very core of what we do.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for people with office management and administration skills as well as people wanting caring roles within the community to become part of our dedicated team. Experience in this sector isn’t necessarily required as our in-house training department are fully equipped to train the right people to the requisite level.”
Just last year the family-owned firm revealed it was expanding with 300 new jobs, as it unveiled a £2m investment plan and opened new offices in Belfast.
Its clients include healthcare trusts, the Housing Executive as well as the community and voluntary sectors, which provide care for a range of people.
The firm provides domiciliary, support and nursing, and secured the latest deal with the Health Service Executive in the Republic.
Homecare Independent Living was set up in by Mairead and Gerald Mackle in 1995, and has undergone several expansions over the last 20 years.
