North City Training is to be re-branded as Bryson FutureSkills and has also acquired new premises in the centre of Belfast.
It currently delivers Training for Success, ApprenticeshipsNI, European Social Fund programmes and Steps to Work on behalf of the Department for Employment and Learning.
The new facility will further support and enhance the delivery of its programmes to disadvantaged young people.
Visiting the organisation recently Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry said: “Training Suppliers play a key role in equipping our people with the skills with which to prepare for and enter into employment.
“Working in partnership with my Department, organisations such as Bryson Future Skills can provide the state-of-the art training and knowledge upon which Northern Ireland’s economic future relies. Importantly, it is essential that learners are provided with access to a modern and fit-for-purpose training environment. Bryson Future Skills’ new premises offer such facilities and I wish them continued success in their work.”
Liam McNeill, Director of Bryson FutureSkills, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Minister and pleased that he could unveil our new logo and brand name.
“Bryson FutureSkills is the new name for North City Training and the new identity will take effect this week. We are determined to support our young people and firmly believe in improving people’s skills and giving them the support required to find suitable employment, particularly in this current economic climate.
“The range of programmes delivered is vital in assisting the participants to gain new skills and the opportunity to avail of real work experience with employers leading to employment.”
Leanne Crowe, who recently completed the Steps to Work programme with Bryson Future Skills, said: “The programme was challenging but very enjoyable. The staff at Bryson FutureSkills were very supportive and helped me find a work placement.
“On achieving my qualification I gained employment with them and I am still working there today. I have also gone on and achieved a level 3 qualification with Bryson Future Skills.”
